ELECTRICAL goodS chain store Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd has opened a RM32mil warehouse at Hicom Industry Estate, Seksyen 26, Shah Alam to increase customer service delivery efficiency.
The launch took place with lion dance performance and night filled with games and dinner for Senheng employees, product partners and media last week at the warehouse.
Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn Bhd Founder and managing director Lim Kim Heng, said the move to build the 7,153.sq m warehouse also helped to consolidate the existing three smaller warehouses in Serdang, Selayang and Shah Alam.
“We want to improve our delivery time and service efficiency. Products stored in this new warehouse will cater to orders made in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur,” said Lim.
He added that the warehouse’s location was strategic for delivery in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
“This warehouse is large and located in a central region for orders. Our policy is we send the goods from our warehouse to the shops ourselves and do not engage other parties. The warehouse will be fully operational bythis month,” Lim said.
He added in 2015 the company hopes to achieve 12% more sales compared to its RM1.06 bil made in 2014.
“This year we foresee more new mobile gadget launch and this could be a great business opportunity,” he said.
Among the top sellers at Senheng in 2014 were TV, smart phone and refrigerator.
The company started with a humble beginning at a half shoplot located in JalannPandan 3/2, Pandan Jaya, Kuala Lumpur.
Formed in 1989, the once small electrical goods shop had stock worth less than RM30,000. Today the company has 128 branches nationwide and Senheng has become a household name among locals.
The company has lined up several exciting gifts for its consumer this year.
“We will be giving RM8,888 for 10 lucky customers who spend over RM999 in a receipt from January to February,” said Lim.
