The nurseries in Sungai Buloh are particularly popular during festive seasons as Klang Valley folk making a beeline for plants with auspicious meanings.

AS A condominium dweller, any semblance of a “garden” on the premises is in my balcony that is home to a few easy-to-maintain plants like aloe vera and some species of ficus and money plants.

The aloe vera was given by a friend, but the other plants were bought from one of the many nurseries that dot the horticultural hub that is Sungai Buloh.
