IT looks like any wooden speaker stand at a glance. But not to Ryu Sun Young, who loves showing it to her guests.

“This is made from an apple tree (trunk). My husband made it,” said the 48-year-old housewife who runs a guest house in a village in Namwon, Jirisan, about a four-hour drive from Seoul.
