An oasis in Gambang

Its front office supervisor Jack Carter said since its soft launching early this year, many locals and foreign guests have stayed here and shared their experiences.

He said a special promotional rate with breakfast and complimentary wi-fi was still applicable until next month before the management decides on the new pricing.

“We welcome feedback from all guests on ways to further improve our services and how to serve them better to live up to our tagline ‘Naturally Relaxing’,” he said.

The name Mangala was chosen as it sums up what the guests can expect of the resort.

Mangala is a Sanskrit word meaning “auspicious.”

It emphasises the purity of spirit and the state of being happy and healthy.

The resort is inspired by a sense of well-being offered in the natural surroundings and the activities available on site.

Guests can enjoy recreational activities in the surrounding palm plantation, native fruit orchards and a man-made lake.

The resort’s leisure and recreation manager SM Shahrir SH Shamsudin said more leisure activities were in the pipeline.

Presently, guests can enjoy swimming, horse riding, archery, canoeing and cycling around the guarded premises.

“Canoeing and cycling are complimentary, as well as buggy services.

“There are also various spa packages, body massages and facial treatment by trained therapists,” he said.
