KUCHING: Borneo baskets made by the natives in Sarawak have always served a practical function but there is a lot more to them than meets the eye.

Anthropologist Dr Bernard Sellato, in his talk titled “the social life of baskets” as part of a collaboration between University Sarawak Malaysia (Unimas) and friends of the Sarawak Museum, introduced the other functions of baskets.
