Drift-fishing around the reefs and rocky seabed is one of the many techniques used by Sabah and Sarawak anglers to hunt for big red snappers and groupers.
While this method is not really popular, as it requires skilful manoeuvring of the boat and the ability to read the sonar imagery spectrums to identify the schools of baitfish, thermoclines and target the desired species, it has been used for a while now.
