Tenaga brings cheer to needy family

Happy occasion: Toleisiama (centre) receiving daily necessities and electrical items from Shah Headan during the ceremony. With them are (from left) Mohamed Ghous, Linggeswaran and Teluk Bahang Village Development and Security Committee chairman Mohd Radzi Embi.

FOR the last 24 years, Toleisiama Sivakomandram and her two teenage sons have been living in a house, off Jalan Hassan Abbas in Teluk Bahang, Penang, which leaks everytime there is a downpour.

The roof had to be repeatedly repaired due to the rain, and she could not afford to fix the problem as she earned only RM600 a month doing housework for residents in the neighbourhood.
