Crowning glory of Johor

FOR the first time in 55 years, the people of Johor will be able to catch a glimpse of the regal 1.6kg crown that will be placed on state Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar’s head during his coronation today.

Quoting legendary English poet and playwright William Shakespeare, Johor Royal Court president Datuk Abdul Rahim Ramli said Sultan Ibrahim would have the difficult task of wearing the heavy bejewelled crown, literally reflecting the saying “heavy is the head that wears the crown”.
