Trendy stuff: The elegant bags that go with the shoes.

MALAYSIAN couture accessories designer Fion Poon has launched her 2015 Collection in Kuala Lumpur.

The 2015 Fion Poon Collection of handbags and shoes features exquisite and entirely handcrafted products.

“A shoe, a bag, a dress, it is always about the psychology of looking beautiful.

“For a woman, it represents her desires and needs. How she dresses, what handbag to carry, what shoes to wear, these combinations must be unique to make her stand out. She wants things that are not the norm.”

Fion Poon has collaborated with Tanoti, a songket house, to produce an exclusive collection of silk and leather songket handbags and shoes, which will be the centrepiece of the launch.

The collection was a merging of talents, skills and ideas from specialised craftsmen.

“Our brand shall continue to gather the country’s best craftsmen to collaborate and create masterpieces.

“At Fion Poon, we encourage creativity, innovation and collaboration by sharing ideas and experimenting.

“The 2015 Collection is a product of our passion to pursue design excellence and to work together with those equally driven in quality and innovation,” said Poon.

“With our focus on craftsmanship, we are introducing new elements through age-old techniques to produce revolutionary pieces that appeal to the modern and trendy.”

Also present at the launch was Poon’s mentor Datuk Jimmy Choo.
