A BAKERY is taking the initiative to distribute its unsold doughnuts to mosques and orphanages on a daily basis during Ramadan.

Its stall helper Mohd Ukhbah Bakar, 28, said the move was a way to reduce food wastage as hundreds of the doughnuts known as Donut Filling Ikhwan are made fresh daily for the Seberang Jaya Ramadan Bazaar near Butterworth, Penang.
