Buffet-style dinners brimming with festive goodness

One of the appetisers for the reunion dinners at Sunway Hotel Georgetown and Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya.

THIS Chinese New Year, drop by Sunway Hotel Georgetown or Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya for their Chinese New Year dinner promotion.

Both hotels will be offering a buffet-style dinner on Chinese New Year Eve from 6.30pm to 10.30pm.

The buffet-style dinner will be available at Sunway Hotel Georgetown the following day too.

At Sunway Hotel Georgetown, guests will start their meal with the must-have yee sang with salmon.

Other appetizers include sweet chilli jelly fish with cilantro, shredded young mango with chilli honey sauce along with an array of salads and condiments.

For the main course, options are deep- fried butterfly tiger prawns with barbecue sauce, steamed sea bass with garlic oil and ginger soya cilantro sauce, and chilli crab with spring onion.

There is also a choice of roast duck or chicken paired with Hossien sauce and chilli ginger sauce at the carving station.

Guests can also prepare their favourite noodles at the action counter or choose their favourite snacks at the Yong Tau Fu counter.

Draw a full stop with fine desserts like creme caramel, strawberry mousse cake and marble cheese cake.

The scrumptious dinner will be priced at RM98 nett for adults, RM78 nett for senior citizens and RM58 nett for children aged between five to twelve.

Guests also stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes.

The buffet dinner will be RM10 nett cheaper for each category on the first day of CNY.

Meanwhile, at Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya, a steamboat-style dinner will be served.

The seafood on ice counter will be offering slipper lobsters and tiger prawns while marinated fillet mignon, fish fillets and squid will be available at the barbecue counter.

Guests can also cook their own meal of herbal chicken or tom yam soup.

The main course includes chinese-style roast chicken with oriental sauce, steam whole sea bass with nyonya sauce and chilli crab.

At the carving station, there will be roast whole lamb with black pepper mint sauce.

For dessert, guests can try the chocolate layer cake, mango and coconut puddings, assorted Chinese New Year cookies or warm longan with white fungus.

The steamboat reunion dinner is only available on CNY Eve, priced at RM108 nett for adults, RM80 nett for senior citizens and children at RM60 nett.

With an addition of RM10 per person, guests can enjoy free flow of fruit punch while a bottle of red wine will cost an additional RM70.

Besides that, the traditional eight-course dinner sets ranging from RM788 nett, RM888 nett and RM1,088 nett are open for reservations now. With an extra RM100, guests can enjoy a set of yee sang for tossing.
