PAMPER those nearest and dearest with a bespoke, gourmet indulgence at the luxurious Shangri-La’s Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa in Penang.

Be it a romantic rendezvous, joyful birthday party or merry gathering, its new Pop-Up Dinner package is sure to make the occasion memorable.

All elements can be customised to guests’ desires, including a flexible choice of venue anywhere within the resort’s lush sprawling grounds.

Weather permitting, the gardens and beach around the Pinang Restaurant and Bar are great choices with their breathtaking sunset views.

Watch a kaleidoscope of colours dance across the sky as you tuck into a four-course menu that can be tweaked to suit palates and dietary requirements.

Typically, it opens with Deep- Fried Brie Cheese with Roma Tomatoes, Rocket Leaves, Basil Pesto and Grissini Stick, followed by Wild Mushroom Soup with Truffle Oil.

Next, choose from the two succulent mains — Grain-Fed Beef Tenderloin with Gratin Potato, Roasted Vegetables and Red Wine Sauce, or Roasted Rack of Lamb with Crisp Potatoes, Wilted Greens and Provincial Lamb Jus.

By the time you finish off with either Cheesecake with Strawberry Compote, or Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce, stars will be up and twinkling.

The Pop-Up Dinner package is priced at RM650 for two, inclusive of a glass of wine, juice or mocktail for each diner. Only limited slots are available each day, and advance booking of at least 24 hours is required.

Depending on one’s budget, menus can be further luxed up, while extras such as bouquets,balloons or even a strolling band can be arranged.

The promo is not limited to couples, as couples, families and groups are also welcome to celebrate special occasions or simply have a tailor-made feast.

Pinang Bar also has Sunset Hours from 5.30pm to 7.30pm daily with special prices on selected beverages.

On Thursdays, it serves a Sunset Barbeque from 6.30pm to 10pm, priced at RM148. Kids six to 12 are charged half price, while those below six eat for free.

For Fridays and Saturdays, the Meat Extravaganza promotion allows guests to choose from a selection of prime cuts, and have it prepared to their liking.
