Rock star dishes

Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur is ringing in the new year with fresh and flavourful ingredients. The restaurant will be serving new Rock’n Bowls until March 13, which take ordinary rice bowls to a ‘rock star’ level. They are: Southwest Meatball Bowl with a blend of Cajun and Southwest seasonings, topped with hot meatballs, honey sriracha glaze, chili lime crema, grated cotija cheese and tortilla straws (RM65), BBQ Shrimp Noodle Bowl with grilled shrimp in an Asian BBQ sauce mixed with shredded napa cabbage, sesame soy glaze, sliced green onions, white sesame seeds, freshly squeezed lime juice and fried won tons (RM65), and Chili Lime Chicken Bowl with grilled chili pepper lime chicken, Cajun seasoning, diced avocado, black beans, roasted corn, grated cotija cheese, chili lime crema, chopped cilantro and tortilla straws (RM55). The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is showcasing a special menu featuring the citrusy goodness of tangerine, which is available until mid-March. The menu includes Tangerine Chocolate Ice Blended drink, Tangerine Chocolate Latte, Apple Choc Bomb and Pabana.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is showcasing a special menu featuring the citrusy goodness of tangerine. The Tangerine Chocolate Ice Blended drink and Tangerine Chocolate Latte combine dark chocolate and espresso with the delightful sweetness of tangerine. Non-coffee drinkers can enjoy the Romantic Blossoming Tea, a fragrant and uplifting beverage. For light bites, there are Apple Choc Bomb featuring a combination of milk chocolate, green apples and ground almonds, Pabana, a scrumptious concoction with layers of hazelnuts and almonds, crème pabana and caramel cream surrounding a core of chocolate, as well as Classic Dark Chocolate Brownie. Closed on Mondays. Depicts an American-style diner with street food, commonly found in America, styled-up to add some pizzazz to the dishes. The pizza base, made from sourdough, offers topping options such as Margarita, Missed Steak, Another One Bites The Crust, Bolognese, Rocky Balboa and Italian Stallion.

Central to the cooking of many of Stoked’s dishes is the Bertha charcoal oven, which is fuelled by a combination of charcoal and firewood.
