Equatorial’s Sensational Seafood Buffet is a delight from start to finish

Enjoy the enticing seafood at Hotel Equatorial’s Nada Lama on Fridays or choose The Carvery Buffet on Saturdays.

HOTEL Equatorial Penang’s newly launched Sensational Seafood Buffet lives up to its name.

Available from 6.30pm to 10pm every Friday at Nada Lama, the buffet offers an excellent variety of premium seafood prepared by executive chef Horst Kocsisek and his team.

The seafood on ice section beckons with its Canadian lobsters, tiger prawns, fresh oysters, black mussels, salmon medallion and flower crabs, perfectly paired with special sauces like horseradish and shallot dressing.

You can start at the salad bar featuring appetisers such as Thai seafood salad with mango and country side cold cuts.

Then ladle a bowl of hearty soup like creamy seafood tom yam and winter melon chicken broth.

The hot dishes are bursting with flavour.

Notable creations include fish fillet with Nyonya sauce, roast leg of lamb, kung po chicken, butter oat prawns and ayam masak kurma.

Over at the Barbecue Live Station, sink your teeth into sirloin steak, beef satay, lamb chops, crayfish, cuttlefish and pari sambal, to name a few sizzling temptations.

Action stalls whipping up stir-fried seafood and assorted vegetables, seafood pizza, pancake with condiments and clear noodle soup with beef balls will be tempting diners.

Be sure to make room for decadent desserts.

Choose offerings such as pistachio eclair, apple pie, lime cheese cake and coated chocolate nuts.

On Saturdays, The Carvery Buffet takes centre stage featuring a dizzying plethora of succulent meats with all of the trimmings.

Whole roast free-range chicken with rosemary sauce, roast boneless lamb leg, roast beef ribeye and Bavarian meat loaf are just some of the treats.

The spread also includes invigorating appetisers, Japanese delights on ice, cheese board, soups and hot dishes such as Italian brown vinegar lentil stew, udang masak sambal belacan and black pepper chicken.

Don’t forget desserts comprising coffee profiteroles, pear pie, chocolate walnut brownies and apple strudel.

The buffets are priced at RM128 nett per adult and RM64 nett per child.
