Housed in a beautiful, 1920s Italianate seaside villa along Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah in George Town, the restaurant has over the years, become synonymous with great food.
Full name Thirty Two at the Mansion, it is a choice venue for special occasions like birthdays and weddings.
Its pork-free Western menu is complemented by some Asian flavours, and regularly refreshed.
This has kept the crowds coming back since it first opened in 2000.
On the latest a la carte selection are appetisers like the Glass Noodles with Minced Chicken, tossed with onion, ginger bud, mesclun leaves and a spicy lemon grass vinaigrette.
Alternatives include the Piquant Salad, Blue Swimmer Crab Bisque, Oriental and Western Mushroom Soup, as well as Pie Tee.
For mains, there is the crowd-favourite Slow-Cooked Whole Lamb Shank Osso Buco Style, served with a goat feta cheese-stuffed portobello mushroom and preserved zucchini.
Equally succulent are the BBQ Beef Rib with Slow-Cooked Potato, and Lamb Rack with Ras-el-Hanout Spice Crust.
Poultry lovers are catered to with the signature 6-Spice Marinated BBQ Chicken Skewer among others, while those of a seafood persuasion will be satiated with creations like the Baked Salmon with Almond and Cranberry Crust, or Roasted Cod with Corn and Basil Crepe.
For something healthy and refreshing, go for pasta dishes such as the Spaghetti Tiger Prawn Aglio Olio.
One that needs no introduction is the signature Crab Laksa Lemak.
