CASUARINA@MERU Hotel’s Chinese cuisine team will be whipping up a nice selection of Chinese New Year dinner sets.
With three “Chinese New Year Yee Sang Table Promotion” sets to choose from, customers looking for a delicious reunion dinner would be spoilt for choice.
The three sets are priced at RM788, RM988 and RM1,188, per table, with each table seating 10 people.
Apart from the yee sang that’s topped with a generous amount of salmon slices and a Hot and Cold Combination dish, each set comes with different dishes consisting of chicken, fish, prawns, assorted vegetables, fried rice and desserts.
Casuarina Hotel Chinese cuisine chef Leong Chee Kheong recommends two of his specialties – Buttered Prawns and Casuarina Golden Crispy Chicken – from the RM1,188 set.
“The buttered prawns are prepared with my own blend of ingredients and spices. My crispy chicken is also different and can’t be found anywhere else,” he said, adding that he uses a mixture of fish and prawn served with crispy chicken skin.
It takes a lot of preparation but we want customers to eat something different,” he added.
The Ipoh-born Leong, with over 30 years of experience, said he enjoys cooking and is always looking to learn and create more dishes to serve his customers.
“We also don’t use MSG in our cooking. Food tastes better without it,” he said.
The promotion will be from Jan 15 to Feb 12, with dinner starting at 7pm.
Apart from the promotion, the hotel is also offering its Chinese New Year high-tea and dinner buffet at its coffee house. The price for adults is RM45 nett and RM20 for children, from 12pm to 5pm.
For dinner, the price for adults is RM48 and RM20 for children. Serving starts at 7pm.
