MOBILE virtual network operator redONE Network Sdn Bhd has announced that it will sponsor national squash player, Ng Eain Yow.

The 18-year-old athlete secured a RM10,000 financial support after showing strong dedication and unprecedented determination in his niche.

He was only five when his father introduced him to the world of racquet sports.

Since then, Eain Yow has won three British Junior Opens and two gold medals in the Commonwealth Youth Games, and emerged champion in the World Junior Championship.

He recently placed third in the National Seniors squash competition and is at number 118 in the world ranking.

The 12-month sponsorship started on Aug 1. For one year, Eain Yow will carry the redONE logo on the sleeves of his jerseys which will be worn during any of his personal or individual competitions.

“I was ecstatic when I found out that redONE agreed to sponsor and support me in my professional squash career. I believe this is the next step and I will continue to do better and put Malaysia’s name on the international stage,” said Eain Yow.

Since 2014, redONE has been actively involved in sponsoring various sports such as football, badminton and squash.

This year marks the second consecutive year redONE is one of the major sponsors for Kelantan FA football club.

In 2016, it sponsored Serdang Badminton Club (BC) in the Purple League 2016/2017.

In addition, redONE continues to endow squash tournaments organised by the Selangor Squash Association and Squash Rackets Association of Malaysia.
