Khazanah Nasional is holding its inaugural Hari Hasanah on Sept 3.
On this day, Khazanah, together with Yayasan Hasanah, Yayasan Khazanah, Khazanah Research Institute, Think City and its network of partners and staff will contribute their time and effort to do good deeds for the benefit of others.
“We welcome you to do your own act of kindness on Hari Hasanah. As long as it comes from the heart.
“In the years to come, we hope Hari Hasanah will become a movement where Malaysians come together and do good for the benefit of others, and in the process, help to foster togetherness and promote unity in our multi-cultural, multi-ethnic society. Kindness can be a powerful force,” said Khazanah in its press statement.
“Your Hari Hasanah initiative can be done individually or in a group, together with colleagues, or family and friends, wherever you are on that day.
“It can be something simple such as helping out at a soup kitchen for the homeless or spending the day with the elderly at an old folk’s home.
“You could also organise larger-scale initiatives such as a gotong-royong in your neighbourhood or repairing the facilities at an orphanage,” it added.
Hari Hasanah is one of the initiatives under Khazanah Nasional’s (Khazanah) “Negaraku, Negara Kita” campaign, which celebrates and commemorates Malaysia’s journey and progress as a nation, in conjunction with National Day and Malaysia Day.
The initiative aims to promote and foster unity and patriotism among Malaysians, and is in line with the Government’s Negaraku campaign.
Khazanah’s other initiatives under the campaign include thematic print media advertisements that leverage the national anthem Negaraku.
There will also be a six-episode Anak Merdeka mini-series, chronicling the lives of three childhood friends across the six decades of our nationhood.
Khazanah will also showcase Grit & Grace, a monochrome photo collection capturing the beauty of Malaysia and its people, via a photobook and public exhibitions.
