FT Minister: Squatter homes will be demolished, project to proceed

The 600m flyover at the intersection of Jalan Jalil Perkasa 1 and Sungai Besi-Puchong highway is part of an RM78mil upgrading project.

DESPITE protests by certain Jinjang Selatan Tambahan residents over the demolition of their squatter homes, Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor will push through the mixed development project on the land.

The lot, which has more than 500 houses built under temporary occupancy licence (TOL) in 1969, was earmarked for a joint-venture mixed development project involving Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and a private developer in 2013.
