Klang's rundown Stadium Sultan Sulaiman puts users at risk

Exercise with caution: At a glance, the Stadium Sultan Sulaiman may look all right with many people seen using the facility to exercise and train. However, upon closer inspection, one will discover the numerous damaged and vandalised facilities in the stadium.

Athletes, students and the public are urging Klang Municipal Council (MPK) to take immediate rectification steps on Stadium Sultan Sulaiman, which is in a state of disrepair and poses a health risk to its users.

Coaches have raised concerns that the lack of maintenance for the track had resulted in its synthetic rubberised surface’s adhesive binder peeling. The surface has become uneven and rippled and pieces of the rubber are coming off in patches along the running track.
