Police: New SOP vital for Sabah border security


KOTA KINABALU: Security at forward posts along Sabah’s east coast bordering the southern Philippines remains at a high level and police are calling for a clear set of standard operating procedures (SOP) for them to operate with other agencies.

Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order director Datuk Seri Zulkifli Abdullah said the SOP was crucial to enable the police, the navy and Malaysian Martime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) to carry out sea patrols more effectively.
