 The Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) recognised Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd, Star Media Group Bhd and Malay daily Sinar Harian for “the largest Jalur Gemilang origami circulation nationwide”.

MBR founder Tan Sri Danny Ooi (second from left) presented the award to Star Media Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai (centre), Mydin managing director Datuk Ameer Ali Mydin (second from right) and Kumpulan Media Karangkraf Group chief executive officer Datuk Dr Hussamuddin Yaacub (right) during a ceremony at Mydin’s outlet in USJ, Subang Jaya.

PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd group chief executive and managing director Datuk Michael Tio (left) was also present. Mydin, The Star and Sinar Harian had collaborated to circulate 465,000 Jalur Gemilang origami nationwide as part of the Raise The Flag initiative organised in conjunction with the National Day celebrations
