FOR THE past year, a district councillor has been turning old banners into bags and aprons as a move to create awareness about recycling.

Tanjung Malim district councillor Habibah Yaakob said, when council workers remove old banners, or bunting, she took some back home to make them into aprons, grocery bags, and big bags to collect recyclable items.
