STUDENTS of SMJK Heng Ee Bayan Baru branch in Penang are getting a lot of encouragement to take up science, technology, education and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
The school now has two STEM labs equipped with dual projection, a 2-in-1 hybrid laptop and office chairs.
The students will also be able to upload their presentation work into a system to allow their parents to observe their work.
Heng Ee board of directors chairman Datuk Alex Ooi said the initiative was in line with the Malaysian Education Blueprint (2013-2025) that placed STEM as the core of the new national curriculum.
“Our move does not only encourage creativity and critical thinking but also contributes to the students’ growth.
