“DIMSUM means ‘selection of the heart’ in Chinese,” said video streaming service dimsum.my chief marketing officer Lam Swee Kim.
Adopting the same concept of the heart’s desire, “Walk with Love” organised by dimsum.my, aims to connect families, friends and members of the community.
“The walk will bring people together,” Lam said.
The 5km walkathon will be held at Eco Majestic, Semenyih on Sept 24 at 7am.
The location – a well-planned development with beautiful gardens – will allow participants to enjoy a scenic and eco-friendly environment.
Unlike any other walk, participants will get to experience an entertaining setting with four challenges – Inspire, Smile, Sign and Wish.
Lam said the challenges symbolised different elements in life, as the walkathon is also meant to be an event that allows families and friends to bond and spend quality time together.
At the beginning of the walk, inspiring messages from all the shows available on dimsum will be showcased.
“It will remind us of the reasons we love each other, our family, our friends,” said Lam.
Some of the activities at each challenge point include designing your very own exclusive T-shirt, taking pictures with character cut-outs from the shows and wishing upon a tree.
Participants will receive an exclusive “Walk with Love” T-shirt, bib, a limited edition drawstring bag, two months complimentary dimsum subscription and sponsors’ merchandise.
They will also walk away with a finishing medal, e-cert, an inspiring message-printed wristband and multiple fun moments.
Race kit collection will be available on Sept 22 and 23 at Tropicana City Mall in Petaling Jaya, from 10am to 9pm.
“Walk with Love” is sponsored by Eco World Development Group Berhad. The other participating partners include Revive Isotonic, Etika, BookDoc, Grab and PappaDelivery. Suria FM and 988 are the official radio stations.
