The RM500 penalty is aimed at curbing indiscriminate dumping in Sibu’s central business district area.
SIBU: Since Sibu Municipal Council’s (SMC) implementation of the RM500 compound for littering from July 1, a total of 46 people have been fined.
Sixteen of the offenders settled their fines, while the rest will face court action.
