Clearing the air on Southern Malaysia

Iskandar Malaysia, formerly known as the premier southern development corridor, is well-known for its gleaming high-rise developments, though it also has its share of controversies.

In the upcoming Fair in Johor, Khalil Adis Consultancy Pte Ltd founder Khalil Adis will be addressing certain misconceptions about the Johor property industry and the issue of oversupply.

In this talk titled “Iskandar Malaysia 10 Years On - Challenges for the Next Lap”, Khalil will talk about the current challenges faced in Iskandar Malaysia, such as public perception when it comes to oversupply situations and its impact on mega developments in the region, the RTS-MRT link and how the issues have impacted the Johor property scene.

“We can address these issues with facts and figures and provide solutions that would win back the investors’ confidence,” said Khalil.

The experienced property speaker said buying a property is a long-term investment that requires substantial cash and holding power.

“By addressing these key issues, the public can go in with their eyes wide open to mitigate risks, particularly Singaporean and foreign investors who are unsure of the nuances in the Iskandar Malaysia property market,” added Khalil.

The property exhibition will be held from July 28 to 30 from 10am to 10pm at Johor Bahru City Square, while the talks will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Other topics for the talks include “The Future of Iskandar Malaysia: Rise or Fall?”, “Using Feng Shui to Achieve 4R”, “Desaru Transformation: A Hotspot Emerging from Something to Everything”, “Coworking – The Next Rise of Office and Shoplot Leasing Strategy for Property Investors”, “5 Tips to Save Money on Strata Title Investments”, “Alternative Real Estate Strategies in a Challenging Market Cycle” and “Feng Shui - Knowledge to Bloom or to Doom you?”.

The exhibitors will include Mah Sing Group, Bukit Pelali Properties Sdn Bhd, Eco World Development Group Bhd, Gamuda Land, Premier Property Plus, Pulai Spring, Symphony Life Bhd, UMLand and Uda Land (South) Sdn Bhd.

Homebuyers at the fair will also be eligible to win a PJ Midtown serviced suite worth over half a million in the Win A Home (WAH) Contest by registering at
