KEDAH has a new mufti. Datuk Syeikh Fadzil Awang, 68, (pic) was appointed the mufti effective July 19 to replace Datuk Paduka Syeikh Muhamad Baderudin Ahmad whose contract has ended.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said Kedah Sultan Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah had consented to Syeikh Fadzil’s appointment.
