Policemen and officers cycled from the Kampung Tawas police station to nearby areas to distribute leaflets on safety.

POLICE in Ipoh are expecting some 6,000 people to download the Volunteer Smartphone Patrol (VSP) phone app by the end of the year. Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said the application will boost public participation in combating and preventing crime.

He said the application launched in the first quarter of the year, was officially launched for the Ipoh district on Wednesday.
