Forest outing up Penang Hill awaits disabled kids

THE second edition of ‘Climb To Change A Life’ returns to Penang to give disabled children more opportunities to get closer to nature.

At the event on July 16, participants will go on a 1.6km walk through The Habitat atop Penang Hill.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who will grace the climb, said the nature trail would provide an opportunity to touch, smell, see and hear the natural forest.

“The event is aimed at giving disabled children a fun and life-changing experience,” he said in a press conference in Komtar.

“Each participant needs to be accompanied by two family members and two caregivers or volunteers.

“Climbing is becoming popular and it is important for children with disabilities to take part as I believe this will put smiles on their faces,” he said.

The event is organised by Penang Hill Corporation, Zy Movement Foundation and The Habitat. To join, visit
