Repairs on cracks in embankment in Rengit under way

Work to repair the embankment in Rengit being carried out using heavy machinery.

BATU PAHAT: Contractors have started work to repair the cracks in the outer coastal embankment that caused floods in Rengit here.

State Health, Environment, Information and Education Committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said the RM70,000 project was to repair the 4m to 5m cracks in six locations along a 3km stretch of the embankment.
