WHILE THE residents of old folks home and orphanages often feel lonely and left behind, it can be especially melancholy for them during festive seasons.

As the holy month comes to an end, 52-year-old Aishah Nordin cries at the thought of having to spend Hari Raya at the Ikhtiar Selesa Villa old folks home in Ipoh, where she has been living for the last two years.
