TUNKU Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) and the TARCian Alumni Association (TAA) are jointly organising the annual TARCian Run 2017 on Aug 13.

This event marks the third consecutive year of the TARCian Run, which will be held concurrently at the KL Main Campus in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Perak, Johor and Sabah campuses with the theme “Malaysia Negaraku My Nation”.

This year, they hope to attract 10,000 participants, said organising chairman Lim Kok Eng.

“We welcome all TARCians and the public to join us, as we are offering early-bird-registration discounts for TAR UC staff and students until June 30,” added Lim.

The closing date for registration is July 15.

All runners will receive a free T-shirt and finisher medal for those who complete the run within the stipulated time. More than RM30,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs.

This is the first time that TAA Perak Charter chairman Jojo Teh Hui Ping and TAA Penang Charter chairman Edmund Tan Wei Hong are holding the TARCian Run in TAR UC Kampar and Penang concurrently with the TAR UC Main Campus in Kuala Lumpur.

The event is held to build and enhance rapport among alumni, graduates, students, TAR UC staff and the public.

It also promotes a healthy lifestyle and hopes to raise RM50,000 for the TAR UC Education Foundation.
