WHILE they fast during Ramadan, the disabled people training in the Juru Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre in Bukit Mertajam on the Penang mainland, are busy making various biscuits and festive snacks to sell.

Working hand-in-hand, the trainees — who were diagnosed as slow learners — churn out thousands of mini curry puffs, kerepek bawang, buah rotan, rempeyek and three flavours of kerepek gunting to be sold at bazaars and sold to wholesalers.
