Dumpsite fire doused above ground but still burns beneath the surface

Fire at the dumpsite that had been sealed off by Shah Alam City Council.

AN illegal dumpsite in Section 35 near Alam Impian and Jalan Bukit Kemuning in Shah Alam, which caught fire on Friday, is still burning underground.

Kota Kemuning councillor Tan Ah Kow said he visited the site and found that the fire had been put out on the surface but not the flames beneath ground.
