Penang taking small and simple steps in waste segregation

THE local councils in Penang have raked in only about RM40,000 from selling recyclable waste from the segregation at source scheme since June last year.

State Local Government Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said Penang Island City Council and Seberang Prai Municipal Council collected RM13,938.40 and RM25,600.35 respectively, which added up to RM39,538.75.
