Cops out to stop sale of firecrackers

KUALA TERENGGANU: The police will continue to monitor the sale of firecrackers at Ramadan bazaars and residential premises in Terengganu in a move to prevent any untoward incidents, said Terengganu police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Aidi Ismail.

He said police patrols would cover not only the bazaars but also villages and locations where people were seen playing with firecrackers while Muslims performed the terawih prayers.
