THE two local councils in Penang have been told to keep a close watch on high-rise schemes to ensure that waste segregation at source is properly carried out.

State Local Government Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said he directed both Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) to visit such housing schemes after the waste segregation at source law was enforced on June 1.
