THE Quaker Oats Company has been committed to nourishing families through the goodness of oats since 1877.
Just in time for its global 140th anniversary celebration, two of its products – Quakers Instant Oatmeal and Quaker Quick Cook Oatmeal – are now marked with the “Healthier Choice” logo, awarded by the Health Ministry to help consumers identify food items that meet nutritional standards it has set.
Quaker Oats offer the goodness of whole grains that are high in fibre, a source of protein and iron, and contain beta glucan, which can help to reduce cholesterol.
“Quaker has always been synonymous with good nutrition and health benefits.
“This recognition underscores our ongoing dedication to bringing the goodness of oats to more Malaysians, and we hope to inspire people to be more proactive about their health by showing that healthy food can also be convenient, delicious and nourishing.

With the arrival of Ramadan, the brand is redoubling its efforts to educate Malaysians to consume a wholesome diet, with the help of celebrity mum Aishah Sinclair and fitness expert Kevin Zahri, who shared delicious, easy-to-follow recipes such as Quaker Oats Pancakes with Chicken and Corn, and useful tips to fast healthily.
“There are so many ways my family can enjoy this wholesome food and it’s so easy to include it in our daily diet,” said Aishah.
A healthy diet and active lifestyle go hand in hand, and US-certified trainer Kevin Zahri added, “I am excited to partner with Quaker to continue encouraging Malaysians to live and eat healthier.
“Oats are a great option for those who are serious about their health because it has so many health benefits.
