KOTA KINABALU: The normally quiet town of Pitas in Sabah’s northern district off Kudat was alive with various cultural events over the last weekend, thanks to the Bengkoka and Kaamatan Festival.

Stalls offering an array of local produce, food and traditional handicrafts drew the attention of visitors including local ministers that came to officiate and be part of the event.
