IT WAS a great surprise for 20-year-old Lee Cheng Zhi when he was announced the grand-prize winner in the Plaza Low Yat Mega IT Fair Spend and Win Contest 2017.

“I visited the IT fair last month to buy a laptop for my brother who was going to university, and I didn’t expect to win anything in the contest, let alone the grand prize.

“I feel very lucky to have won the prizes, especially since this was my first time participating in a lucky draw.

“Thank you, Low Yat, for such a great win and attractive prizes. I’m sure my family will really enjoy all the different IT devices and home appliances,” he said.

Cheng Zhi walked away with RM20,000 worth of IT gadgets and home appliances, while second- and third-prize winners Hoo Li Mei and Lee Siew Kee won shopping vouchers worth RM5,000 and RM2,000 respectively.

Held in April, the contest gathered more than 10,000 entries.

For every RM200 and above, or RM2,000 and above spent at Plaza Low Yat, BB Park or Federal Hotel Arcade, customers received one entry form or 10 entry forms respectively.

Then, they had to just fill in the form(s) and submit it to be in the running for the grand draw.

At the prize-giving ceremony, Plaza Low Yat property management and operations general manager Albert Khoo gave out the prizes to the lucky winners.

“The two-day IT fair was very well-received by the public, and we are delighted to be able to present the lucky winners of this grand draw with these attractive prizes.

“We wanted to give our shoppers the best IT selection and products we have while offering irresistible promotions and rewards for their constant support.

“We hope to have more of these activities for our shoppers throughout the year,” Khoo said.

During the fair, there were many attractive deals and promotions, including the ever-popular Hot Deals featuring IT and non-IT products selling at prices from as low as RM5, and many activities such as the Plaza Low Yat “Like & Share” in which shoppers won free movie tickets simply by liking the mall’s Facebook page and sharing it with a friend.
