MEET celebrity chefs Norzailina Nordin and Zubaidah Che Pa tomorrow at the “Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur” (Kuala Lumpur International Book Fest) at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.
Norzailina, who launched her second series of 12 mini cookbooks Dari Dapur Chef Selebriti, said the launch was a particularly joyous occasion as she would be celebrating her birthday in five days.
She has made several appearances on TV and radio programmes, and has been invited to be on the panel of forums and seminars organised by schools, universities and the media.
“I have included recipes for Korean, Indian and Indonesian cuisine in my cookbooks as Malaysians like to try a variety of flavours; there are also some recipes of my own creation,” she said.
Each book is sold at RM5 at the book fest; customers can buy 12 books and add RM29.90 to get a non-stick wok.
Zubaidah’s book 101 Resipi Biskut Klasik will be sold at the book fest at RM29.90.
“I have included egg-less recipes too in the book. Vegans who don’t eat eggs can try them out.”
Zubaidah is known as a culinary expert in various cuisines such as local, Thai, Chinese and Western. Her articles have been published in newspapers and magazines.
Norzailina and Zubaidah made ayam kapitan and cookies respectively on stage at a cooking demonstration after the cookbook launch on Thursday. Attendees got to try them at the tasting session afterwards.
Both of them launched their latest cookbooks at the fest on Thursday.
Meet Zubaidah between 12.30pm and 1.30pm, and Norzailina from 5pm to 6pm when they demonstrate their cooking skills at the Popular kiosk (No 3098) at Tun Razak 3 Hall.
