FORM Five student Thong Kar Kit believes being involved in debates while still in secondary school encourages one to grow up faster and learn things beyond the four walls of a classroom.
Participating in the 29th Perak Anderson Cup Secondary Schools Chinese Debate Competition 2017, Thong and his eight teammates, boys aged 15 to 17, from SMJK Sam Tet had to bury themselves in books and research information on the Internet throughout the month-long competition.
