Slow day for hawkers after water cut

Stalls were closed at a restaurant in Old Klang Road.

THE hawker scene in Taman OUG, off Jalang Kelang Lama, Kuala Lumpur, was quieter today as two coffeeshops and 24 stalls stayed closed on what should have been a busy day.

Ann Tan, 60, who runs a homemade pastry shop in New Sun Ho Restaurant said four stalls in the coffeeshop had opted to close for the day following news reports that a burst pipe behind the ELC International School, Jalan Sierramas Barat in Sungai Buloh would lead to a 48-hour water disruption.
