New bus route to KL Health Clinic

The newly opened outpatient clinic in Jalan Fletcher .

Beginning April 25, members of the public will have better access to the new Kuala Lumpur Health Clinic (KKKL) through Rapid KL 402 bus route.

Commuters can board the bus at the Titiwangsa LRT station, which is connected to both the Ampang/Sri Petaling line and the Titiwangsa monorail station.

“Alternatively, commuters can also take the bus from the KLCC LRT station bus stop or at the the Taman Maluri Station as the bus travels from the Titiwangsa to Maluri via KLCC and Jalan Tun Razak,” said Rapid KL bus services chief operating officer Azam Omar.

Azam said the bus will be making stops at the Shell station on Jalan Tun Razak, which is just 70m from the rear entrance to the outpatient clinic at KKKL, which is located on Jalan Fletcher.

"We are unable to allow our buses to use Jalan Fletcher as the road is too narrow,” he said, adding that Kuala Lumpur City Hall had agreed to construct a bus shelter and a covered walkway for pedestrians' convenience.

Service begins on April 25 with a frequency of 30mins.

"We will increase the number of buses if there is a high demand," he said.

A bus pole will also be installed for the convenience of commuters.

The RM50mil new KKKL in Jalan Fletcher was opened on April 3 and is the biggest government health clinic in the country, catering to up to 3,000 patients a day and replacing the Kuala Lumpur Hospital’s Outpatient Department.
