KUCHING: The majority of the 461 individuals who had sought shelter at Anjung Singgah here over the past four years have managed to turn their lives around.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said the social service centre, set up by her ministry to address the homeless issue in October 2012, helped 101 individuals to find jobs, while another 161 individuals managed to secure employment on their own. The centre has also helped 134 former residents resolve their issues and reunite with their families.
