STRETCH yourself into shape with Sanctband Active resistive exercise equipment, as Ipoh Starwalk 2017 participants stand the chance to win their strength training products as a lucky draw prize.

Sanctband Active Sales and Marketing Manager Darren Wee, said they will be giving away RM15,000 worth of products during the 7km fun walk on May 7.

“Among some of the prizes that await the lucky winners are our Hand Exercisers, Tubing with Handles, Super Loop Bands and Mini Loop Bands.

“All of them come in an array of appealing colours, such as pink, amber, purple and teal to differentiate each product’s resistance level,” he said before handing over Sanctband Active’s contribution to The Star’s representative Cheryl Yew.

Certified personal trainer Jeremy Ng who is the founder of PFC Studio, the distributor for Sanctband Active products in Malaysia, vouches for Sanctband’s Resistive Exercise Bands.

While exercising to burn calories keeps one fit, Ng said including resistance training in a workout routine ensures better quality of life in the long run.

“Older adults are losing bone density and muscle mass as they age, making them particularly prone to osteoporosis.

“Resistance training delays this process. As the training helps build more bone density and muscle mass,” Ng said

In simple terms, resistance training is a form of exercise that improves muscular strength and endurance by working with products, particularly weights, that provides an opposing force.

Ng said one good way to begin resistance training is to start with elastic resistance training.
