Sibu airport in dire need of automatic landing system

SIBU: An automatic landing system is urgently needed at Sibu airport, said Chief Minister’s political secretary Michael Tiang.

Tiang suggested this in response to an incident where a Malaysia Airlines aircraft skidded when attempting to land during a downpour. The airport was closed for 27 hours causing many travellers from Sibu to postpone their journey.
