PONTIAN: Gelang Patah voters should be wise in choosing the right MP to address their problems in the next general election, said Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
He said that most people want Johor to be well developed and advanced in every aspect but that without a good MP, this would be hard to achieve.
He said that the people of Gelang Patah, especially those from rural areas, must have an MP to address and focus on their issues.
“It is unfair to have a representative of the people who cannot concentrate and focus on his seat.
“Gelang Patah voters of over 100,000 people must be wise in choosing an MP who can resolve their problems,” he said.
He said this after launching the Johor Wifi project for rural areas in Kampung Puteri Menangis.
On a separate matter, Mohamed Khaled said that they have asked the housing and local government committee chairman as well as Women and Family Affairs committee to conduct a research on how to tackle the Mat Lajak issue among teenagers.
He admitted that it was not easy to come up with solutions on the issue as teenagers nowadays enjoyed adventurous activities and were very self-confident.
