Jakim allocates RM21.5mil for allowances for mosque officials and workers

MALACCA: The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) has allocated RM21.5mil for the payment of allowances to mosque officials, Quran and Fardu Ain (KAFA) class teachers in the state this year.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said of the amount, RM15.87 million was for KAFA teachers, RM4.08 million for imam and RM1.56 million for guru takmir (preachers).
